Christ Church and St. Matthias Church News and Information
From the Vicar
Christ Episcopal Church is a old English Tudor style church in a rural setting in Coventry Center. We have parishioners that have lived in Coventry all of their lives, as well as families and individuals who are new to the area who are drawn by the intimate worship space, and the warmth and sense of welcome that is generated here. Christ Church is a place where we seek to know one another and God on a deeper level. Our worship is eucharistically centered, which means that sharing the bread and wine of the Holy Eucharist is at the very center of what we do every Sunday. We are an Episcopal Church, which means that our worship life is based on the Book of Common Prayer, and that we are active members in the life of the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island, the Episcopal Church of America, and the worldwide Anglican Communion.
We invite you to come and experience the excitement and joy we feel at Christ Church. If you are searching for a place of welcome and hope, a place where you will be able to go deeper with God, a place where creativity and questions are always welcome, we hope you will give us a try.
